The famous trattoria Trilussa has been open for 70 years and today is one of the oldest restaurants in the famous Trastevere district. The restaurant has always maintained the typical rustic antique furniture with parts in wood and wrought iron. The kitchen and the floors have been renovated over the years. Today the restaurant continues to be a meeting point for intellectuals, sports and entertainment personalities and lovers of good Roman cuisine revisited with a touch of originality. The restaurant has an indoor hall and an outdoor dehors for a total of 270 seats. Among the typical dishes offered, we would like to mention the classic pasta all'amatriciana which in 2003 was awarded the title of best "amatriciana" in Lazio.
Among the appetizers, pan fried (mozzarella in carrozza, sweetbreads, squash blossoms and vegetables); mixed cold cuts and cheeses you can savour amatriciana with cherry tomatoes; homemade tonnarelli cacio e pepe while among the second courses the typical: veal cheek, breaded lamb, puntarelle with chicory.
The wine cellar boasts as many as 1100 national and international labels (450 whites and 650 reds) displayed in a long corridor leading to the main room which recall the old ancient Roman Osteria and let you feel the vibe of simple times.
